Australia turn to fighter pilots for Ashes lift-off

AUSTRALIA’S Test cricketers have turned to former fighter pilots to help build teamwork ahead of the Ashes series.

With the squad for this month’s opening Test to be announced in Sydney today, it can be revealed that Cricket Australia has employed corporate team builder Afterburner, run by former RAAF pilots, to help improve the team’s sometimes fragile dynamic.

Players were put through a series of exercises at the team’s mid-year camp in Coolum and again on the recent tour of India.
