Alastair Cook says he will only think about his record-breaking run of form once he has retired from cricket.
The opener resumes on 136 on day two against Australia having already broken England’s records for runs scored and minutes batted without dismissal.
England are 317-2 in Adelaide, with Cook having scored 371 runs, across 1,022 minutes, since he was last out.
The opener told BBC Radio 5 live: “You look back with pride but for now I am only focused on what we have to do.
“We have to keep feet on the floor as one good day doesn’t win you a Test.”
