Heat on Australia’s faltering Ashes campaign

ENGLAND’S rich harvest of Ashes runs shows no sign of abating as Australia’s prospects of bringing the urn home slowly slip away.

Alastair Cook’s domination of the series has continued as England sets itself to bat Australia out of the Test when play resumes on day three at the Adelaide Oval.

At stumps on day two England is 2-317, with Cook on 136 (246 balls, 17 fours) and Kevin Pietersen 85 (141 balls, 14 fours), to lead by 72 runs.
