Spinner Graeme Swann feels talk of spin legend Shane Warne returning to the Australia team for the rest of the Ashes series is a boost for England.

The tourists’ innings and 71-run win in the second Test in Adelaide has put them 1-0 up in the five-match series.

But Swann believes the speculation surrounding a possible Warne comeback shows Australia are running scared.

“It’s good for us that the Aussies are doing this and the public are looking for Shane to get back,” said Swann.

“I very much doubt that he would come out of retirement to play just in these three games.

“He’s not played any cricket for so long. We’ll just carry on as we are and let the Aussies worry about that.”
