England enjoy strong start

England put themselves in position to take a firm grip on the third Ashes Test in Perth after bowling Australia out for 268 on the first day.

After being put into bat by the tourists, Australia’s top order once again failed as they slipped to 36-4 and looked to be in major trouble.

James Anderson and Chris Tremlett, who was brought in the side as a replacement for the injured Stuart Broad, struck early in the day on a lively wicket at the WACA and would go on to take three wickets each.
